It’s Show Time for Shahed.

Shahed signed up for E2 IELTS Show Time Package to achieve his dream of studying abroad.

Here’s what Shahed had to say about his experience using E2 Test Prep.

Where are you from?

I’m from Bangladesh.

What did you study IELTS for?

IELTS is a high level English language proficiency test. I wanted to see where I stand regarding English, and of course to continue my studies abroad.

What language/s do you speak?

I speak my mother tongue, English and can read Arabic only.

What made you choose E2 Test Prep?

This was my first time appearing for IELTS, I was clueless when I started watching YouTube videos just like everybody else.. to be honest there are so many! Then I came across Ms. Alex’s video. I was like – this is it! I resonated with the ways she taught and went for E2 with arms wide open hoping to learn from her. I then realised she was no longer taking classes,

Which E2 Test Prep package did you use?

Show Time Package

What was the most difficult part of your study and how did you approach it?

Reading. My approach was simple. I always heard Mark saying it over and over again.. and maybe over again that “read” if you want good scores,so I went with it head on. I tried implementing Dr.Anna’s scan and para by para combo, and with that technique, did one whole test from Cambridge books every single day according to her advice. After a few days, I saw improvement in myself automatically. I guess consistency with a regular routine was the key here. Sasha and Graeme sir made life easier for me, I was not worried at all regarding Task 1 writing and Listening/Speaking, which allowed me to focus more on where I was lacking. And unconditional support from Dr. Anna helped me get the scores I wanted. So, a big shoutout to my teachers!

What did you like most about E2 Test Prep?

E2 School! best bunch of people and teachers – so awesome!

How long did it take you to prepare before taking the test?

4 months more or less.

What did you do in your free time to unwind and destress?

My mentors kept me at a run! I never had free time lol However, I’d say.. power naps were really helpful. And obviously, music.

What would be your top tip for other students who are about to begin their test-prep journey?

Listen to your teachers. Then, listen closely again. Do regular tests (at least one Reading/Listening/Writing whichever you’re weak at everyday with a timer) And speak English everyday.

We hope all the best with your future endeavour. Keep us posted!
