Meet Siraj, one of our inspirational E2Language successful students. We asked him a few questions to provide a little extra motivation for those who need it. Congratulations on your awesome achievement, Siraj!
What package were you on Siraj?
E2Language General Writing Intensive and E2 mini mock test.
How long have you been preparing for the test and have you faced any challenges?
3 months. Well I had 2 challenges.
1) I had given the British council IELTS paper format test in 2019 and I did not do very well in writing. My overall band score then was 8.0 (Listening – 8.5, Reading – 8.0, Writing – 7.0 and Speaking – 8.0). I needed to improve on my writing score at least by 0.5 points to 7.5 to reach my desired score but I was not confident in achieving the same.
2) I had no idea how the computer based test that I gave this year would be and was not sure of the format. The writing intensive program provided techniques that helped achieve the massive improvement of getting 8 in writing. The mock test helped me acclimatize to the online test format by creating test conditions within the comfort of my home. My final overall IELTS score this year was 8.5 (Listening – 9.0, Reading – 9.0, Writing – 8.0 and Speaking – 7.5)
Which E2Expert did you speak to and how did they help you?
I did not take any personal tutorials but I attended sessions with Graeme and Sasha which were very helpful.
Now that you’ve achieved your IELTS goal, what’s your plan?
Immigration. Planning to immigrate to Canada and this score has helped achieve CLB ( Canadian Language benchmark) 10 which was my goal.
